(The Sands of Time)

The Mesquite flat dunes, located near Stovepipe Wells Village in Death Valley National Park (United States), are the most iconic and accessible in the park. They formed thanks to sand carried by the wind from the eroded mountains of the north, which is trapped by the mountains of the south, giving rise to a landscape of soft golden hills. Its name comes from the rugged mesquite trees that grow in the area.
