Life on Earth, from tiny bacteria to large trees, forms an interconnected network. The International Day of Biological Diversity celebrates this natural wealth that sustains our planet. Biodiversity influences key aspects such as sustainable agriculture, clean water, climate action and disaster prevention. Losing it can increase the risk of zoonotic diseases, which are transmitted from animals to humans, so it is our duty to protect it.
