(It's never too late to celebrate!)

Who said the New Year should be celebrated on January 1st? In Wales, the clock symbolically goes backwards to commemorate the 'New Year' on January 13th. This tradition is related to the Julian calendar, with the calendar as the main character, meaning 'New Year's gift' in Welsh. Although most people in the world adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1582, some Welsh communities have preserved these ancient customs.
