Polar Bear Week, organized by the non-profit organization Polar Bear International, emphasizes the serious challenges faced by these majestic predators due to climate change, particularly the rapid disappearance of Arctic sea ice. Every year, in Churchill, Canada, known as the "Polar Bear Capital of the World," bears gather together, waiting for Hudson Bay to freeze and begin hunting seals, which are their main food source.
