Can you win a visual contest with a Brahmin backpack? Their sharp yellow eyes stared at their gray brown faces, often harassed by birds during the day. In response, they watched, shook their heads, and let out screams that sounded like laughter. These birds are about 20 centimeters tall and can be found from Iran to Vietnam. This owl photographed in Bangkok, Thailand mainly feeds on insects and small mammals, which are stored during periods of scarcity.
