In 1789, the United States Congress designated August 7th as National Lighthouse Day to commemorate the 200th anniversary of laws establishing and supporting public lighthouses, lighthouses, buoys, and docks. Lighthouse not only marks the safe entrance to coastline, danger, and ports, but also represents a beautiful and sturdy symbol of stability for centuries. As long as humans sail in the ocean, they will continue to do so.
