Today, we venture into Molokini Crater, a crescent shaped crater carved on the "Arakiki" Canal between Maui and Olavi. This small island witnessed the roaring volcano 230000 years ago, and there is a legend inside: the goddess of fire, Pele, split her opponent Moro in half, turning her body into Molokini and her head into the calm volcanic ash cone of Puole on Maui Island.
