Canada is the second largest continental country after Russia, with abundant natural treasures in every corner, such as the Great Bear Rainforest, Northwest Passage, Columbia Ice Sheet, or the Heda Guai Islands, with 80% of its territory uninhabited. Looking into the pleasant waters of the Colwood Natural Port, one can see the lighthouse of Fisgard, as shown in today's image. This is the first lighthouse on the west coast of Canada, built in 1860 and located on Fesgard Island in Eskimart Port, British Columbia. It was built for the convenience of merchant ships going to Victoria Port and warships going to Eskimart Port. This lighthouse was designated as a Canadian National Historic Site in 1958. In every lighthouse, there is a story of hope and power, waiting to be discovered.
