In the unusual tropical rainforests, rice paddies, and steep canyons, there is the town of Ubud, the cultural center of Bali, Indonesia. According to legend, an Indian pastor RSI Markandaya arrived in Bali in the 8th century and discovered an area rich in herbs and medicinal plants. The name Ubad comes from the word "Ubad", which means medicine. The town is located in a dense landscape with many Hindu temples, full of local mythology. The mythological character in today's image is Balong, a creature resembling a black panther, the king of spirits, and a symbol of good luck and prosperity. Balong dance, represented by decorative animal masks, originated in Bali.
