In vibrant Thailand, Bangkok is full of vitality. Covering an area of over 1568 square kilometers, it is estimated that over 10 million people reside there, accounting for over 15% of the national population and a quarter of the Spanish population. The capital has a busy urban infrastructure, complex roundabouts, and a network of highways. In 1864, the completion of the Charoen Krung Highway marked a turning point in urban transportation and was a pioneering construction project using Western technology. In 1972, a complex network of elevated highways and Don Mueang toll roads were introduced, providing convenience for entering and exiting the city. For many years, the development of road networks has been aimed at meeting the needs of this constantly expanding urban expansion.
