In a remote canyon in southeastern Utah, the National Natural Bridge Monument reveals the power of erosion and the passage of time. It is shaped by wind and water and features three impressive natural bridges: Sipapu, Kachina, and Owachomo. The names of these bridges are in honor of the ancestral people who lived in the region. Sipapu is the largest, with an opening so large that it can accommodate Barcelona's Holy Family dome. The visible Kachina in the photo is located between Sipapu and Owachomo. Its name comes from the rock paintings and hieroglyphs that decorate its bottom. Owachomo is the oldest, and its slender arched structure may collapse over time.
