Sedona, located in Arizona, USA, is a unique place where nature, history, and spirit are intertwined in impressive rock formations. These sandstone formations are part of the Schnebly Hill Formation, created millions of years ago during the Permian period when sediments accumulated in an ancient ocean. Subsequent erosion shaped the spectacular landscape, emitting strong light at sunrise and sunset. Its most famous buildings include Mount Wilson, seven sacred swimming pools, and the rocks of the cathedral, which provide iconic views.
