In Spain, we have preserved the significant influence of Moroccan architecture and culture. However, the imperial city of Meknes, located in central northern Morocco, is renowned for its fascinating history. During the reign of Sultan Ismail ibn Sharif of the Alawite dynasty in the 17th century, it was the capital of the country. Mekness is famous for its magnificent city walls, grand gates, and buildings designed to last forever.
