Imagine at the highest peak of the Alps, where the air is fresh and the scenery is magnificent. In this photo, you can see the impressive Mont Blanc in Charmaine, France, which not only inspired climbers but also inspired writers. Mary Shelley set a key scene near this giant in her work Frankenstein, where Victor Frankenstein faced his creation. At the age of 18, Shelley conceived this story during a stormy summer in Switzerland in 1816, while also participating in a challenge to write a horror story with Percy Shelley, Lord Byron, and John Polidori. The result is one of the most enduring classics in Gothic and science fiction literature.
