(The Wild Dance of the River)

Are you surprised by the purity of some rivers in the United States? This beauty is largely due to conservation policies. Since 1968, the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act has protected over 20400 kilometers of 209 rivers. Although this may seem like a small part of over 5.6 million kilometers, every protected road section is crucial. The 137 kilometer long wind that appears in today's picture is a true oasis of wildlife.
