Attracted by the history breathed in by the Santa Maria della Salute church in Venice, this book opens its heart to Baroque architecture and stories beyond. After years of suffering, Venice built this monument and completed it in 1687 to thank it for overcoming the plague that swept the city in 1630. At the entrance of the Grand Canal, its dome caught people's attention, just as Baldassary Longener's design captured his life, completing his masterpiece that transcends death.
