The joy of exploring the unchanging corners of the Earth is priceless, thanks to people like Howard Zaneser, the possibility of doing so is a reality in the United States. Today's photo takes us to Crystal Lake, an impressive high-altitude lake area in Washington D.C., USA. Although its protection began in the 19th century, the enactment of the so-called Wilderness Law today has protected over 44 million hectares, accounting for 5% of the country's total.
