The medieval symbol of power, Metoni Castle, located on the southern coast of the Ionian Sea in Greece, stands on a rocky promontory. This castle is located in the small town of Methoni in the state of Messenia. This castle was built by the Venetians in the early 13th century and is a commercial strategic location and defensive fortress, protecting the southwest coast from invaders. Burzita is an extension of the castle, located on a small island and connected to the main castle through a stone bridge.
