In the undulating hills of Yenbai Province, Vietnam, the rice terraces in Mocang Ch ò i District are a mosaic of agricultural excellence. The Miao ethnic group is known for its rich culture and vibrant clothing, and has been meticulously carving these waterfall like hills for generations. In the 19th century, the Miao ethnic group immigrated from China to northern Vietnam. They are proficient in the touring cultivation of crops such as millet, rice, corn, and barley (an agricultural system that temporarily cultivates land and then restores natural vegetation).
