Today! The moment that lasts from day to night throughout the year has come again. This phenomenon, known as the summer solstice, occurs when one of the Earth's poles is most inclined towards the sun. Today's image shows the Kokino Giant Observatory, which is part of the Kokino Archaeological Group in North Macedonia. It is believed that the Kokino Observatory marked the position of the Sun during the summer solstice, winter solstice, and spring equinox, consisting of two platforms. A stone on the platform of the observatory indicates the direction of the summer solstice dawn when seen from the seat on the lower platform.
