In Dales National Park in Yorkshire, the ancient village of Gonassed is full of British charm and history. Imagine walking in a narrow alley surrounded by undulating hills, dense pastures, and stone houses. The only sound you can hear is the splashes of the Swale River. The park was built in 1954 and covers an area of 2200 square kilometers, with approximately 1000 farms. One of its most distinctive features is its fence, which can last for hundreds of years. The name of this village comes from "Sat of Gonnar", which in ancient Norse means the hills or pastures of Gonnar. The Gonnaside Valley was a prosperous center for lead mining from the 17th to the 19th century. This is the ancient blacksmith museum from 229 years ago, which houses ancient mining tools and equipment.
