In today's picture, the sun falls on the Roaches, a 500-metre high ridge in the town of Leek in the Peak District of Northern England. As part of the Peak District National Park you have a breathtaking view over the moorland and with a bit of luck you can even spot a wallaby! Yes, you read right. In the 1930s, some of these marsupials broke out of a nearby private zoo. Even today descendants of the original wallabies are sighted.
