Today, all eyes are focused on the hippopotamus. Mammals from the Third Continent - second only to elephants and white rhinoceroses - deserve our attention, especially on World Hippo Day. These semi aquatic animals are listed as vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and are native to sub Saharan Africa.
