Christmas means that in many cities around the world shops close, the streets empty and friends and families come together to spend Christmas Eve with their loved ones. Each of us has our own traditions, such as baking cookies or singing Christmas songs. Today's snapshot shows the annual celebration in Tartu Town Hall Square in Estonia, which shines in the glow of lights and is decorated with numerous Christmas trees. The Christmas market of Tartu is a cheerful atmosphere with sleigh rides, fire boilers and wooden animal carousels. There is also smoked meat, hot drinks and crispy gingerbread. Whether you're watching a classic Christmas movie or settling in with a cup of hot chocolate, when the clock strikes twelve, let the Christmas spirit infect you on this peaceful night.
