The Nahargarh Fort is a medieval fort located in Jaipur, India's Pink City. It was first known as Sudarshangarh Fort and was constructed in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The place was eventually given the name Nahargarh, which translates to "abode of tigers," since it was thought to be haunted by the ghost of a royal by the name of Nahar Singh. The fort is a well-liked tourist destination and provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city.
