(Make way for the Easter Bunny)

Do you know how many centuries the Easter Bunny has a history? Although we associate it with chocolate eggs and children's games today, its origins are much older. In medieval Europe, rabbits symbolized fertility and rebirth. The Germanic people believed that the goddess Iosterlei, who protected spring, had a rabbit as a symbol. With the spread of Christianity, this image merged with Easter, and in the 18th century, German immigrants brought this tradition to the United States.
