In today's scene, the impressive Porthcawl Lighthouse in Wales stands tall, challenging the power of stormy seas and the constant impact of giant waves on its solid foundation since 1860. This iconic lighthouse was built to guide the growing sea traffic along the dangerous Bristol Canal. It is located on the steep coast of Porthcawl, which has always been an extreme challenge for sailors. This lighthouse is famous for its spectacular photos, in which it appears to have been hit by huge waves. It is the last lighthouse in the UK to be fueled by coal and natural gas, and even after being converted to electricity in 1997, it still has undeniable historical charm.
