Today, we are heading to distant Japan to visit the Yashima Ancient Well Castle in Gifu Prefecture. This is a historical treasure that has proudly risen since 1559 and is the protagonist of today's image. This castle was demolished during the Meiji era and rebuilt with wood in 1933, in stark contrast to modern concrete reconstruction, and is a rare witness to traditional Japanese architecture.
