In the arid central part of the Mojave Desert in Nevada, the natural grandeur of Fire Valley National Park stands tall. The park covers an area of over 18000 hectares and is named after Aztec red sandstone, which is a geological formation of the Lower Jurassic period composed of ancient sand dunes. The most prominent feature in the park is the "Fire Wave", which is a geological miracle that looks like a frozen wave with red, pink, and white stripes.
