Bonjour et bienvenue à Paris! Imagine waking up in Paris and seeing this bridge right from your hotel room, perhaps in the magical hour of dawn. But it's also easier. Today you can take a look at the bridge Alexandre III through your screen. The bridge was inaugurated 1900, in the year of the Paris World Exhibition, and named after the Russian Tsar Alexander III to commemorate the 1891 signed Franco-Russian alliance. As befits such an event, two about 17-metre high pylons rise on both banks of the river, crowned by gilded bronze sculptures of the winged horse Pegasus. And this is just the beginning! From the middle of the bridge decorated with nymph reliefs, one side of the river overlooks the romantic garden and the monument of the Esplanade des Invalides and on the other side the Grand and Petit Palais museums.
