Among her feathered friends, the Garurus light bulb, dressed in elegant grayish brown feathers, is known as a touring singer in the Northern Hemisphere. Its striking appearance is due to the contrast between its velvet like gray body and the bright red tips adorned with secondary feathers on its wings. If they are afraid, they will remain still with their beaks and neck pointing upwards. In winter, they feed on cotton, juniper, and Selbar berries, the latter being their favorite. Spring has arrived, and these nomadic tribes are starting to build nests. Females build nests and lay 2 to 6 blue gray eggs. Both parents feed their offspring on insects and fruits. These social birds are easy to see as they typically gather in groups in North America and Eurasia.
