Kauehi is an atoll of approximately 200 residents in the Tuamotu Islands of French Polynesia. This small atoll is 450 kilometers away from Tahiti, with a 320 square kilometer lagoon and 16 square kilometers of land. People rely on dried coconut flesh for a living. In addition, Kauehi also inhabits the beaches of an endangered Zancuda bird, Tuamotu or Titi Tuamotu.
