Cormorants are among the great fish hunters in the bird world. The birds spread in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America hunt their prey – medium-sized freshwater and saltwater fish – underwater. Sometimes cormorants even swallow pebbles to increase their weight, allowing them to do deeper and longer dives.
