The Winter Solstice has both natural and humanistic connotations. From a natural perspective, the Winter Solstice is an important solar term among the 24 solar terms. After the Winter Solstice, the climate in various parts of China enters the coldest stage. From a cultural perspective, this day is also a traditional festival of the Chinese people. The image of today are of the snow-capped mountains and Manla Reservoir in the Xizang Autonomous Region of China. Manla Reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the Nianchu River in Longma Township, Gyantse County, Shigatse Prefecture, Xizang. It is a large-scale water conservancy project with irrigation and power generation as its main functions, as well as flood control, tourism and other comprehensive benefits. The Shigatse region where Manla Reservoir is located is exactly where Mount Everest is located. The natural resources here are rich and precious, and it has a rich historical and cultural heritage.
