Manla Reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the Nianchu River in Longma Township, Gyantse County, Shigatse Prefecture, Xizang. It is a large-scale water conservancy project with irrigation and power generation as its main functions, as well as flood control, tourism and other comprehensive benefits. The Shigatse region where Manla Reservoir is located is exactly where Mount Everest is located. The natural resources here are rich and precious, and it has a rich historical and cultural heritage.
