The Bashang grassland is located at the southeast end of the Inner Mongolia Plateau and the southern foot of the Greater Khingan Range. It is an important part of the Inner Mongolia Plateau.
There are many scenic spots worth visiting in the Bashang grassland area, among which the Saihanba National Forest Park is a very worthwhile place to visit. The total operating area of ​​Saihanba National Forest Park is about 940 square kilometers, of which the scenic forest area dominated by larch plantations and natural birch forests is about 710 square kilometers, the grassland area is about 150 square kilometers, and the forest coverage rate is 75.2%.
