Hemu Village, Xinjiang, China
Hemu Village is one of the three exist Tuva villages in China. The superb beautiful and serene natural scenery has won it “Paradise for Photography” and “A Private Land of Gods”. It is most famous for oil painting like autumn scenery, when unique Tuva wooden houses are decorated by dreamy mists and extensive golden birch trees. When autumn comes, the trees change to golden coats. Looking afar, the vertical white body and further-like pretty leaves are so poetic that you will feel like you enter an authentic fairyland. When walking through the forests, the golden leaves and nature sounds, air purifies your eyes and minds.
Though its fame as a quiet picturesque village has rapidly spread among tourists, Hemu is still a comparatively isolated place, only lightly impacted by modern life. Some income of the village has been derived from tourism in recent years, but most local people still make a living from animal husbandry. In ever brighter daylight, Hemu Village look serene in the early morning, with its wooden huts neatly scattered on the two sides of a dusty road rutted by vehicles.
