Eltz Castle, Germany
Eltz Castle, picturesquely situated in a valley in the Eifel region, is one of the most important and best-preserved castles in Germany. It has been in the uninterrupted possession of the Eltz family since the 12th century. Its architecture combines different architectural styles, with the Gothic knights' parlor and the Baroque Plattnerstube being particularly noteworthy. Here you will find valuable armor, artistically designed weapons as well as gold and silversmith work.
The area surrounding the castle is ideal for walks and hikes. The Eltz Castle Panorama Trail offers breathtaking views of the castle and the surrounding countryside. A visit to this impressive castle is a must for history and culture lovers.
