The Great Heat

Today is the Great Summer solar term, the last solar term of summer and the sunniest and hottest day of the year. The little cutie in our image looking up at us from a tree branch is the famous Chinese Red Panda. With the summer heat, we need to relax a bit too, pick a place with dense green shade to escape the heat!
The Chinese red panda (scientific name: Ailurus styani) is dark reddish brown all over, with no bright orange tips on its rump and back. The Chinese red panda is mainly distributed in China's Yunnan Province and Sichuan Province, living in mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forests or broad-leaved evergreen forests with bamboo clusters at an altitude of less than 3,000 meters. It likes to eat bamboo shoots, shoots and leaves of arrow bamboo, various kinds of wild fruits, leaves, mosses, as well as prey on small birds or bird eggs and other small animals, insects, etc., and is especially fond of food with a sweet flavor. They are similar in appearance to the Himalayan red panda, but are slightly larger than the Himalayan red panda.
