Water tower in Cuxhaven, Germany

The summer mood is already palpable, we imagine ourselves lying on the beach and swimming in the sea. Did you know that Cuxhaven has the largest seaside resort in Germany?
However, Cuxhaven offers not only sea and sand, but also endless opportunities to pass the time and enjoy a relaxing vacation. Whether it's a boat trip or an excursion into the marshes, you can also visit historical sites such as the water tower in today's picture. It was built in 1897 and provided the town's drinking water supply until 2004. Since then, it has been one of the most emblematic and best-protected monuments. Since 2017, the tower has been owned by a Swiss family who have set up a café there, managing to preserve the essence and identity of the tower.
