Lantern Festival

The first lunar month is the first month of the lunar calendar, and the ancients called "night" "xiao". The fifteenth day of the first lunar month is the first full-moon night of the year, so the fifteenth day of the first lunar month is called the "Lantern Festival". The Lantern Festival custom has been dominated by the warm and festive lantern-viewing custom since ancient times.
Today we show you the street scene of Jinli Street in Chengdu, which is full of lanterns. During this festive season, our city lights are swaying and people are laughing, and it is even more lively on the night of the 15th day of the first lunar month. In addition to eating glutinous rice balls, watching lanterns, and guessing lantern riddles, playing dragon lanterns is also one of the customs of the Lantern Festival. This year is the Year of the Dragon, so there must be dragon lanterns or dragon dance performances in many places!
