Take the Stairs Day
It's time to step up! With sedentary lifestyles becoming more common, the quest to stay healthy has taken center stage. Take the Stairs Day has emerged as a reminder that small, intentional choices can make a significant impact on our overall well-being. An initiative by the American Lung Association, the day is aimed at fostering lung health through the conscious choice of movement over convenience.
To mark the day, we visit the snake-like steps on the shoreline of Mylopotamos in the Thessaly region of Greece. Nestled on the eastern coast of the mountainous Pelion peninsula in central Greece, Mylopotamos is home to a unique blend of lush landscapes and a secluded beach. The sinuous path to the beach winds beneath the cool shade of pine trees. Enough steps for today? Don't worry, there's a beach bar along the way.
