Let's celebrate the Indigenous Peoples' Day! This holiday is celebrated in various parts of the United States and in other countries. In the US it is typically observed on the second Monday in October which acknowledges the enduring cultures that have shaped the nation. Among the remarkable Indigenous groups are the Fremont people, who lived in and around what is now modern-day Utah from around 0 to 1300 CE. This broad group of communities left a lasting mark on their region, with their distinctive petroglyphs which depict ancient art and stories. Today, many Americans participate in Indigenous Day celebrations such as art exhibitions, traditional music, and storytelling. Furthermore, locations such as Dinosaur National Monument, Fremont Indian State Park, and McKee Spring provide insights into the vast history that has endured for generations.
