Grasslands National Park, Canada

Saskatchewan is located to the east of Alberta and to the west of Manitoba. The province sits to the north of both Montana and North Dakota and to the south of the Northwest Territories. As a result, Saskatchewan is one of only two landlocked provinces in Canada.
The park has a rich history and culture, as it was home to the Blackfoot (Niitsítapi) people, the Sioux led by Sitting Bull, and the first dinosaur discoveries in Western Canada. The Blackfoot people are a North American Indigenous group that consists of three closely related bands: the Siksika, the Kainai, and the Piikani. They are part of the Blackfoot Confederacy, a historic alliance that also includes the Tsuut’ina and the A’aninin
